The Soft Sand Shuffle is a fantastic beach running carnival created to raise awareness and funds for youth mental health in Australia.
An initiative of the In-form Foundation , this community event is based on the great Aussie tradition of beach running and features a range of ‘Shuffles’ for beginners through to more serious runners.
In addition to raising money, The Soft Sand Shuffle is also about getting together as a community to let young people know they are supported. It's a chance for families and friends to discuss mental health issues, to do something fun together and to create social connection, which is so vital in maintaining healthy young minds.
There’s an obstacle course for the little kids so that everyone in the family can get involved, and all funds raised go directly to our charity partners doing critical work in the field of youth mental health.
In addition to the events you can enter, we also have the Mascot Challenge featuring some of Australia's best loved characters. Or for the hard core runners, why not take on the Warrior Challenge? Designed by Rob Rowland-Smith, aka, The Sand Hill Warrior, this 2km course is a great way to test your endurance and have some fun.
